What is the Plentify Home App?

The Plentify Home App gives Balwin residents a simple way to monitor and manage their hot water.

Plentify works with Balwin to intelligently manage hot water across your estate, helping support the Balwin Green Living discount on your electricity bill. The app gives you the option to personalise your hot water experience with additional controls and intelligent automations through the Paid Plan.

Frequently asked questions

We’re launching a new Plentify Home App experience with improved usability and a new subscription model.

All residents automatically receive access to the Free Plan, with the option to upgrade to the Paid Plan for additional control and automation features.

If you’re new to the Plentify Home App, you’ll need to register using your HotBot ID.

If you already use the Plentify Home App, your account will be migrated automatically. Simply sign in using your existing login details.

You can find your HotBot ID under the ‘Estate Hub -> Hot water management’ section in the Balwin App.

Alternatively, you can contact your estate manager.

As part of the move to the new Plentify Home App, existing routines and temperature settings will not carry over.

After the upgrade, your geyser will continue following your estate’s intelligent heating schedules. If you’d like to continue using routines and temperature control, you can upgrade to the Paid Plan and create new routines.

All residents automatically receive access to the Free Plan which gives you visibility into your hot water. This includes:

  • Profile: Manage your account details.
  • Alerts: Get notified if something goes wrong.
  • Heating status visibility
  • Water temperature visibility
  • Setpoint temperature visibility

The paid plan gives you greater control over how and when your hot water is heated.

You can manage your preferred temperature, create routines around your daily schedule, switch heating modes, and use Away Mode while you’re away. This can give you even more energy savings.

During the pilot phase, residents received complimentary access to premium features while we tested the Plentify Home App and gathered feedback.

The pilot has now ended, and we’re introducing a new subscription model in partnership with Balwin.

All residents continue to receive access to the Free Plan, with the option to upgrade to the Paid Plan for additional control and automation features.

These additional controls help you personalise your hot water experience and can provide even greater energy savings.

You can continue using the Free Plan at no cost.

You’ll still have visibility into your hot water, and your geyser will continue following your estate’s heating schedules.

Upgrade whenever you’re ready if you’d like additional control and automation features.

The Paid Plan costs R30 per month and includes everything in the Free Plan, plus:

  • Temperature control
  • Heating code
  • Routines
  • Away Mode

Simply sign in to the Plentify Home App and visit the Subscription section in Settings to upgrade to the Paid Plan.

If you’ve upgraded but can’t access features like routines, heating modes, temperature control or Away Mode, don’t worry. This usually means there’s an issue linking your subscription to your account. Please contact the Plentify Support team and we’ll help get everything working.
