Battery Booster helps users prepare for anticipated power interruptions or higher-than-usual energy use by temporarily charging their battery to a chosen level, then automatically restoring normal settings once the battery is ready.

Battery Booster gives you just enough power, just in time. A simple, one-off battery boost when you need it, with no long-term impact on your usual energy settings.

In South Africa, power interruptions are part of everyday planning. Sometimes it’s delayed load shedding. Sometimes it’s a municipal maintenance notice. Energy systems work best when patterns are predictable. But real life isn’t always predictable.

Your municipality announces a scheduled maintenance window from 10am to 2pm. You want your battery ready, but you don’t want to interfere with the automations that usually save you energy and money.

Control without complexity

Battery Booster gives SolarBot users a simple, temporary way to prepare.
You select the battery charge level you want to reach, and SolarBot may use grid power to charge the battery accordingly. Once that level is reached, Battery Booster automatically switches off and your usual automations resume. There’s nothing to reset and nothing to remember.

How to Activate Battery Booster:

1. Open the Plentify Home App at my.plentify.io
2. Activate Battery Booster from the battery widget on your home screen (or go to Automations > Energy > Battery Booster)
3. Choose your desired charge level (e.g. 90%)
